Welcome

Dr. Alixandra Blackman opened her boutique practice in Brooklyn Heights, NY in 2019. She works with kids as young as 4 extending to adults of any age, providing support for a variety of life’s challenges. Alix is a passionate and dedicated clinician who cares deeply about each and every one of her clients. She aims to create a therapeutic space filled with safety, kindness, compassion, and unconditionality in hopes that clients feel comfortable, heard, and seen. She enjoys delving into research to bring fresh perspectives to her work. The learning never ends! Alix utilizes a combination of somatic experiencing (SE), psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, mindfulness/grounding/meditation, DBT, and CBT interventions to meet the unique needs of each client who walks through her door (or screen!)
